To create bestsellers "easily" on Etsy, I've established two strategies. The first is the one I always use, and the second is a strategy that I personally experienced.

For the first one, it's the one I just explained in detail. But to illustrate it, let me give you a concrete example.

Over a month ago, I noticed the emergence of a competitor selling products that were roughly similar. Their products were selling poorly except for one (a bundle) that had over 100 sales per month.

I didn't have this product in my shop. I immediately set out to create it. So, I created my own bundle, a similar product, but with more quantity, more variations, and a lower price, and...

It became a bestseller in less than 3 weeks. Today, I have more than 5 sales per day on this single product.

So, my overall strategy is to create a similar product (Don’t copy), of better quality/quantity at a more attractive price. It's fair to say, I have a fairly aggressive strategy.

This is the results of this new bestseller the past week.

However, I've also experienced and endured an even more aggressive strategy.

A competing shop literally copied all my bestsellers while respecting copyright rules, meaning they created their own products, similar but different enough that I couldn't file a copyright infringement notice. To top it off, they used the same backgrounds and fonts as mine for their mockups.

Their goal was simple: to make customers confuse their shop with mine to attract my regular buyers. Additionally, they couldn't go wrong with the style that their audience likes, as we share the same audience.

In my opinion, it's a very aggressive strategy, even somewhat immoral, but it's effective and legal. However, for this strategy to work, your shop must already have a minimum number of reviews. Otherwise, it's unlikely to succeed.

Now that we have seen how to create a bestseller, let’s say you've got one. What to do next? How to keep it as a bestseller?

Let’s see.
