Run a sale to boost your sales

To boost your sales, you can first take advantage of the marketing section to create a sale or send automatic emails for abandoned carts, favorited items or a thank you code (you do not have to create them yourself, Etsy will do it for you).

They can be incredibly effective!

I use them all, and I personally have made quite a few sales using them.

Here's a simple strategy that has worked well for me:

  1. Set your prices slightly higher initially and then offer a generous discount, up to 70%. People love a good deal, so this can grab their attention.
  2. Set up Etsy's automatic emails for favorited items, thank you codes and abandoned carts with an additional promo code.
  3. When running a sale, make sure to prominently feature it in your shop's banner or the "announcement" section. This helps draw attention to the discounted prices and creates a sense of urgency.
