First and foremost, you need to be aware that the effectiveness of Etsy ads will largely depend on the optimization of your products. If your product, thumbnails, mockups, or SEO are not good, the ads won't work, and you'll only be wasting money.
I often see people complaining in Facebook groups about Etsy, saying that Etsy ads are a waste of money and don't work. But the main reason behind this is usually their products. If it's not working, it's because one of the four pillars mentioned earlier is off.
How Etsy ads work? When you set up an ad budget for one of your products, it will appear on the first page and top of the other pages for a variety of keywords (related to your SEO and the allocated budget). Every time someone clicks on your product, you'll pay a commission to Etsy ranging from $0.15 to $0.40 per click. After that, it's up to your product to convert.
